Zombies! - A Modern Dance Program - Featuring "Dark Window" Choreographed by Chris Anderson. - The boys fight the bullies after being picked on for dancing ballet. Through the Dark Windowshadows of the dark window is the tie that binds the spirit to the Underworld. Live a little. Die a little. Can there be unity with Zombies? Witness the sexy, funky thrill of the dance in this choreographed playground presented by the Rhythm Knights Dance Troupe. - In "Pirt" we watch a backward strip number while exploring the performance of sexuality and in "Buy Season Tickets To THIS, Mofo!" - originally performed at Sarah Lawrence College in 2010 - we have a ballet burlesque set to music from Rossini's "William Tell." It begins as a classical ballet variation and ends with the ballerina succumbing to what she perceives is the audience's desire to ogle her goodies. Both pieces choreographed and danced by Caity Gwin's alter ego Vicky Badd. In "A Working Man's Dancer" we pose the question: "If Fred Astaire is the Cary Grant of dance, then what is Gene Kelly?" The answer: He is the Marlon Brando of dance! This piece is choreographed and danced by James Martinelli, who captures the essence of the truly American style of Gene Kelly. Finally, in the piece "Leslie 4 Eer" choreographed by James Martinelli and Linda Arezzoa, a dance team called The Shindigs highlights the work of teen sensation Leslie Gore.
